Wabelsberger Wacholderhutte in Langscheid

The junior hut doesn't make a particularly nice impression from the outside. Since the hut was not open at the time of our hike in November 20 on the local dream path, we unfortunately could not explore the interior. So of course we can't say anything about the food, etc. But it should be very cozy and inviting. Certainly ideal for a stop before or after a hike. When Corona is over, the business will probably start again with the new tenants.

Delicious and very nice service

Whenever we are in Langscheid, we like to come here. Delicious food, the homemade pancakes are extremely tasty and the schnitzel with fresh chanterelles also tasted very good. The service is great. Very large portions and a very reasonable price. Lovely again !

Why aren't there actually "zero stars"! Service friendly but completely overwhelmed. From dirty glasses and cutlery, old frying fat, burnt-on meatloaf, salad that turned out to be half a hand of coleslaw, croquettes instead of potato wedges and stale cola a real gastronomic zero number !!!! You don't have to convince yourself of the opposite, the many negative reviews are still nicely expressed. Better to pack a sandwich and drive after a hike e.g. to the restaurant Bendisberg in St. Jost!

After the beautiful dream path, we returned to the restaurant with too high expectations. The staff tries very hard, but small warm dishes are of no quality in relation to the price. For example, a small slice of bread without butter with two slices of cooked ham and a fried egg without side dishes for € 7.90.

The menu on the Internet is probably no longer the actual offer. The sausage salad was good and the fried potatoes really outstanding. The juniper plate is described as "sausage and ham specialties from the region". The ham was completely missing - the other sausages were not bad, but they did not have much in common with regional specialties. Thus, the court was overpriced at 13.50 €. Here, the innkeepers have "made something to eat" but did not understand the task of offering local specialties to show the guests what the region offers. The staff is very friendly, and the chef was amazed that the ham was missing. He explicitly confirmed that it belongs to ham. If you explain to the staff which task as "cultural ambassador" of the juniper hut, it will certainly be able to fulfill this task. The cottage is located in an absolutely quiet location, which one does not suspect, because the local loudly Greek music comes ... With a little luck and understanding, these teething troubles can definitely be eliminated.

Here we wanted to eat an ice cream today which was also praised according to the menu and blackboard on the wall then when ordering the waiter said we have no ice cream. Drinks were ok and cool. I give 2 of 5 thumbs for that

I really loved this place. Bright colours, friendly staff. The menu is large and creative. Good quality food and fast service. You may have to wait a while for a table, because it is usually full. Wabelsberger Wacholderhütte is one of my favorite place in Germany now and I can't wait to go there again.

Yesterday I was at this restaurant, I went there to see the location, It was beautiful. We waited a little bit because there were so many people and there were no free tables. The staff was really nice they offered me a free drink while I was waiting. After 10 minutes me and my family got a table the food was great and it was so nice and cozy in there. We sat close to the fireplace and me and my family had a very good time. Definitely going there again.👏👏
